Every time we carry out a stairlift service, we go through the following items:

  • Checking of all nuts, bolts and screws that attach to shrouds, chassis and brackets that retain the stairlift rail.
  • Full cycle load testing of the main stairlift batteries to ensure they are in proper working order with the option of getting replacements if needed.
  • Inspection and testing of any wiring and switches on the stairlift, triggering of safety sensors to test operation where appropriate.
  • Test and inspection of the main drive motor (pinion) and the teeth (racking) of the stairlift rail.
  • Full top to bottom damage check to ensure there’s no dangers or potential future issues.
