This policy explains how StairliftRepair.ie, part of The Mobility Guy Services ("we", "us"), collects and uses your personal information when you use this website or contact us about a stairlift repair, service or battery replacement. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data-protection law.
What information we collect
When you fill in our booking form or callback request, or email or call us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number and, if you provide it, your email address
- Your address, county and town/area, and an Eircode if you provide one
- Details about your stairlift and the problem you describe
- Your contact preference and how urgent the job is
Our web server and analytics may also collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us only to:
- Respond to your enquiry and give you a quote
- Arrange and carry out a callout, repair, service or battery replacement
- Contact you about your booking by your preferred method
- Keep a record of the work for warranty and follow-up purposes
The legal basis for this is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to and fulfilling your request.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone. Enquiries are delivered to our own email inbox (hosted by Google) and stored securely. We only share information with third parties where necessary to provide the service (for example a parts supplier) or where required by law.
Address search and travel-based quotes
The repair and removal price checker uses Google Maps services to suggest Irish addresses and check a driving route. As you type into address search, the address text is sent to Google to find suggestions. Selecting an address and checking its price sends the selected location to Google for the route calculation. Your name, phone number, email address and stairlift fault description are not sent to the mapping service.
Google handles information it receives under the Google Privacy Policy, which applies to the Google Maps part of the price checker. See also our Terms of Use.
Address searches and route results used while you type are temporary, and we do not keep a separate directory of suggested addresses. When a price is calculated, the address you chose is recorded with the result (see Online instant price estimates below). Essential session cookies keep the form secure, and limited technical records help prevent abuse and control mapping-service usage. Prices are calculated from our saved pricing rules, not by AI.
Online instant price estimates
Our online price checker works out an estimate for a stairlift repair, annual service, battery replacement or removal visit. It records and handles the following:
- Address or Eircode search: the text you type is sent to Google Maps Platform to suggest addresses, and the address you choose is sent to Google to look up the location and calculate the driving route.
- Completed estimates: when a price is calculated, the address you chose, your stairlift service details and the prices shown are recorded and emailed to our office, even if you never give us your contact details or request a visit. These records contain no name, phone number or email address.
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address are only collected, and only used, if you choose to email yourself the estimate or ask us to arrange a visit.
- Retention: estimate and request records are kept only as long as necessary, in line with the retention practice described under “How long we keep it” below.
An online price is an estimate: our office confirms every estimate before any final price or appointment, and nothing is paid online.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job records only for as long as necessary to provide our service, honour any guarantee on parts, and meet our legal and accounting obligations — after which they are securely deleted.

This website uses essential cookies needed for it to function. With your consent, we may also use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
