Minivator & Handicare Stairlift Error Codes

Minivator or Handicare stairlift showing an error code? Find your code below to see what it means and the likely fix — covering the 950, 1000 and 2000 models.

30 codes listed

Years ago, the Minivator stairlift company was bought by Handicare to bring the Minivator 950, 1000 and 2000 under the Handicare brand.

We have codes for most types of Handicare stair lifts including the now branded Handicare 950, 1000 and 2000. Please note that Handicare also offer other models of stairlifts including the Freecurve and 1100, which is not covered within this article currently.

If your stair lift has a serious issue and you’re based in Ireland, then feel free to get in touch with us to make a repair appointment.

These codes are a general guide to help you understand what your stairlift is telling you. Some faults can be cleared at home (charging, obstructions, a turned seat), but anything involving the motor, brake, PCB board or safety circuit should be looked at by an engineer. If in doubt, don't force the lift — get in touch and we'll talk it through.

Code you can't clear? We'll get it sorted.

We repair every major stairlift brand across all 26 counties — most faults fixed on the first visit. Book online in two minutes or call 087 737 9265.
